How hot does the glass get? Same as with the original bulbs?

TBH the only time I think about them is when I'm in a car without hids. The warm up time if a fraction slower than the latest hids fitted to Audi, BMW etc but it'd never be a problem. The lenses don't get hot, even if the lights are on and the van is stationary for any amount of time. All in all a worthwhile mod. I'd advise getting them checked at an MOT place for alignment, even though mine didn't need any adjustment.

Does the lens get warm at all?
One positive side affect of the regular bulbs is keeping ice of the lenses.

I have hid on my enduro and from what I remember they get hot too (but they can't handle to much heat).

No, the frost stays on them for a few mins if it's really cold, so no there's hardly any heat.

HID upgrade to make the most of the projector lights.
LED bulb upgrades, brake/tail, indicators, interior (cab), number plate light.
Stereo upgrade keeping the factory head unit, so adding a Audison Bit Ten, 5 channel amp, largest mids that will fit in the doors, replacement tweeters in the A pillars, 10" sub.

More to follow :)

Hi Dave, I did the speakers but not the amps and x-over, others have done though and one that I heard recently sounded very good.

Which seems to take a full range feed from the head unit and filter out the lower frequencies with a capacitor.

Hi folks,

I wan't to upgrade my front speakers by a Hertz compo set, in 16,5 cm.

I can replace the mid and tweeters without a problem, dynamax it etc...
But where to place my new hertz crossover ? Where is the Ford one ? The wires are split somewhere but where ?
Can somebody help me please ?

Sorry for my poor English, i'm from Belgium ; -)

Put the x-over under the passenger seat.
There isn't a Ford x-over, just a capacitor on the tweeter.
You need to split the wires behind the headunit, feed the full range signal to the x-over, then feed the bass signal to the door speakers via the original wires, then put a new wire in for the tweeters.
