Oil Cooler for Mk. 7 3.2L RWD Transit

Postby GiantSteps » Thu Mar 16, 2017 11:58 am

Hi everyone,

First time posting because I'm at a loss as to how to proceed. Oil cooler for my Rear wheel Drive 3.2 2011 Mk.7 Transit (LK61 NUX) has bust and I'm struggling to find a replacement. I've rung several garages and parts specialists around the country and they've either told me that the particular part has been discontinued or that the same oil cooler used in the 2.2 and the 2.4 RWDs is compatible with the 3.2. I remain unconvinced. I understand there was some sort of advisory recall to change the paper oil filter to a metal one and this will obviously change the mounting to the housing. However I cant seem to get a clear cut consensus from anyone (including my local Ford garage!)

Please help!

They share the same parts as the 2.4 tdci except things like the inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and gaskets ect ect due to the extra cylinder.

Thanks for the reply,

So I should be able to go ahead and buy the 2.4 RWD Oil cooler as the replacement part?

This is an alternate...has the better "spin-on" filter too...should fit the 2.4 & 3.2 5 pot...

The oil cooler is bigger on the 3.2 but is cheaper than the 2.4 as they had a problem with them so ford has lowered the price
