Which ply-lining kit for LWB DCIV

Postby LongTallPaul » Mon Apr 17, 2017 9:38 pm

Hi All, Newbie here.

Have picked up a 2014 LWB DCIV that is in need of ply-lining but I'm a little confused about the kits available over on eBay. All the ads I've seen talk about SWB or LWB but nothing seems to highlight a DCIV. My question is which kit is right for a LWB DCIV? My thinking is that the correct one is the SWB kit. Is this right?

Cheers!

Thank you for the offer. I needed another excuse to come to the Lake District :) I'll let you know if I'm in the area.

Have you tried TGS in Bristol. I'm not sure if they will do supply only and maybe expensive.

Are you looking to ply line for work or are you looking to carpet line as well?

Did you already consider the use of Plastic (PP) liner instead of Plywood? Lighter (in weight) and more atractive colour than Plywood.

I'm a bit confused here? If you have a dciv then don't you have panels fitted where you would want to fit the ply?

Are you after ply side panels? Floor?

Custom load length is L1(swb) L2(lwb) isn't it so that should follow, also have you got single sld or twin?

Did you have factory dciv with seats, interior trim and bulkhead or just someone fitted seats into a van?

Mines a DCIV and has ply lining in the rear load area, I assume that's where Paul means.

To Paul:

Try using Crew Cab rather than DCIV when googling, it does bring up a few hits.

It might be easier though just to ring the ply lining companies and ask.

Thanks for all the tips - I hadn't come across TGS before but will enquire.

It is a factory DCIV and I'm looking to line it for work, so carpet really isn't going to be an option.

@Nederbelg - I hadn't consider plastic but will look into it as that might be easier to sweep out. Had a plastic liner on my old Navara.

I'll post an update on how I get on.

BTW - appreciate all the contributors on this forum. It has been really useful as a new Transit owner.

It must be possible to buy such liners in the UK too, but i don't have a link off that.
