Sore knee

Postby hitech-donk » Fri May 19, 2017 6:41 pm

More out of curiosity than anything else but are any of you suffering a sore right knee (in the UK at least). I've had this van just over a year now and reckon for at least the last six months I've been having grief with it and it's getting worse. Talking to a colleague the other day and he mentioned the same issue. When thinking about it and sitting in the driving seat I've noticed the seat isn't in line with the steering wheel and pedals. I find it hard to keep my leg straight and inline when on the throttle, always ending up bent towards the door. Using the cruise control if possible on journeys seems to help, especially on 100+ miles journeys. Just interested if anyone else has/had a problem?!

I get an ache in my right knee and thigh when I drive our Mk6. Like you the pedals don't feel as if they're in the right place.

I can hardly straighten up and walk after I have driven mine for a few hours
But that's just because I am a miserable old c*** :)

Hope this helps

Yep I'm the same. Also my archillies hurts if I have to use the gas pedal a fair bit. I use cruise control as much as possible.

BJT, I think I've got the same problem! "But that's just because I am a miserable old c*** :) "
I think I'll have a go at realigning the seat(twist). Moving it up/down, forwards/backwards doesn't work. The lack of thigh support doesn't help either.

I noticed that raising the seat helped a lot with the position of my legs.
The seat was still in the lowest position since I took delivery of the car, and after raising it my legs are more comfortable. It's a left hand drive Custom though, living in Belgium...
