Collapsed wheel bearing or ball joint perchance..!??

theres no wheel movement at all.
round or side to side.

do you know what the part is called that houses the brake pads
before you swing the caliper back on?
thanks

They call it a "Bracket", the caliper bolts to it...but it's bolted to the knuckle...maybe the bracket bolts have come out or broken..?? Unlikely they'd break though, they're quite heavy duty.

The bracket is #3 in this pic..:

Ah...so the bolts are still there then...I'm guessing a collapsed wheel bearing..

The bracket bolts will probably be metric...possibly 19mm or very close to 3/4".

I'll put my money on a seized or collapsed wheel bearing, if the brake pads are off there not much else on a RWD that can lock up the front wheel. N

Bearing is shot. Take out knuckle and replace the bearing at a garage or get a replacment knuckle at the breakers.
