We need to replace a headlight buib. Halfords have said that we should replace both even though one is still working. Is this right or is it Halfords trying to sell more bulbs?
I just change the one that's blown but I'm tight You will probably get both bulbs from an auto factors for the same price Halfords charge for one A new bulb might be brighter than the old (working) one. N
May as well buy 2 then you have a spare, if it was me I'd swap both and keep the old as a spare ( especially if they look different as I'd get ocd about that lol),but then I wouldn't pay anyone to do the job either and halfrauds 15 quid installation per bulb fees ain't cheap, if you can't do it yourself I'd go to a local parts supplier and I'm sure thell fit for next to nothing..
Careful there Ned that high output setup might overload the wiring.

We just got the one bulb replaced. Halfords charged us £8 for the bulb and £10 to fit it. They desperately tried to persuade us to not only have the second headlight bulb changed but also the side lights. My husband simply said we couldn't afford more than one bulb.
