Had a good day, I came up for the Sunday and after a quick look round the vans ended up watching the racing for most of the day!

Well, I've never been drag racing before and it's not every day you can watch a top fuel dragster explode it's engine in a ball of flames at 240mph is it?

Don't worry they do that fairly often so there'll be more opportunities. Two at the same time on the odd occassion :) Not good for the team budgets though!

Being a regular follower of drag racing it was an absolute bonus to amble around the Transitmania site as well as enjoy the race meeting, though I parked mine up in family camping out of habit.
I thought the turnout was great and the variation impressive.
Many nice vans indeed but particularly impressed by the Cosworth engine!
Hoping it went down well enough with everyone to be the venue of choice next time :) Being a small meeting made it very good value for such a bolt-on event I think.
