Cab dead locking

Postby neill » Wed Feb 14, 2018 12:26 am

Been testing my dead locks and noticed that although the lock/unlock button is deactivated after 60 seconds the drivers door handle on the inside still opens the door , Is that right . Thought that dead locking made opening doors impossible after smashing a window ?

So being able to open the door from inside is normal when dead locks are on?
This is not possible on my 2016 Mondeo or on any other deadlock vehicle I've owned. Thought the idea was that even if they smash a window they still can't get doors open !

You will be able to unlock the doors from the inside of any passenger area. This is a fail safe just in case the vehicle is in an accident or a fault occurs with you inside.

If there's a bulkhead. You can't get in the back from the front
And with the lock update you can't open the back from the front without the fob or somikn

Yes , doing this , waiting for 60 seconds . The lock unlock button is deactivated as I'd expect but I'm able to open the drivers door , can't be correct

 Does it, by chance, have sensors that know the fob is inside the vehicle :?:
