A selection of small parts and three of these Image
Anyone got a spare one so I can make 4?
Found loads of front drive shafts all cut through the middle. What bloody use is that for a rwd van!?

I'm from Australia and by the time they import the brands I know halfway around the world all the boxes are upside down and the sockets fall out when you open them.

Had a break in to the storage shed at my workplace, my van is parked in there with the power steering hose hanging down while I wait for the new hose in the post. They were after a huge drum of power cabling, but also nabbed my toolbox that was sitting by the front wheel ! b*stards !

Snap on.
Teng.
Draper expert.
Kamasa was a good set I had for sockets.
Silverline are half decent for the price.
There's other brands though

Everything is stupidly expensive here in Sweden. 3 times the UK price for the same sets from Teng or Bahco. Draper and silverline are not sold locally. I'm gunna have to wait till I get back to the UK. Borrowed a set to fit the replacement power steering hose, lets hope it holds for 1000 miles home next week.

Had a go at stopping the rainwater dripping onto the Air filter an Injectors
if you get a mirror and look under the water trough you can see where the water has been leaking through and tracking down into the engine bay.

Wipers and plastic trim / cover removed you can see clearly at each side how the water gets on the air filter / o/s innerwing and the n/s inner wing, from the bottom of the screen glass in has a clear run down missing the water trough and somehow needs to be rerouted, the rubber bonnet seal is clearly not long enough for as well, also the plastic air intake fitted in the metal rain gutter / trough was distorted out of shape along its bottom edge allowing water through to the engine bay, This wiper spindle was the main culprit of the water around No 4 Injector

once you remove Ford's bodge to the problem (plastic film glued on) you can see why,
IMG_20180224_103256.jpg

with the water trough removed i took the air vent off and refitted it using silicon sealer and fittin extra rivets along its bottom length (now sealed), then I set about creating rain channels / diversion with Butyl sealant tape, I've tried diverting the water from the screen ends to go into the trough and down the inner wing gutters (where it should go) I have left the white tape on the sealant where it would stick to the plastic trim that sits on top, so its easily removed again.

Next was the drivers spindle, i filled the hole around the spindle from underneath with the Butyl sealant, then on top I filled the space with silicon sealant and then stuck the original ford foam seal back on top,

I did the same with the middle spindle but no foam seal and also ran a length of Butyl sealer along the top where the Trough panel sits

Refitted the trough and even reglued on the Ford bodge on (belt n braces), put it all back together and just need to wait for the rain now an see if anything gets wet.

I had already a couple of weeks ago done the Butyl sealant on the l/h and r/h sides to divert the water run, and the air filter and inner wings have so far been dry, so its just the Injectors staying dry to check out now, I know its all a bit of a bodge but on a limited budget hopefully it should work
in the last pic you can see one of my extra rivits
