Engine searching

Postby Rob Heath » Wed Mar 07, 2018 6:15 pm

I've just brought a really tidy 56 plate connect for an absolute steal, the only problem being is that the engine 'searches', the revs sit nicely at around 800ish rpm but every few seconds it climbs probably 500rpm and then drops again.

I haven't driven it yet as it's not insured so not sure how it pulls on the road, there's no smoke and starts up easily.

I've put a new battery on today and all the stuff to do a service....fuel filter, oil filter etc etc.

Before I have a good poke around are there any obvious/common things on the connects that may cause this?

TIA

Turns out the injectors had been 'messed' about with and the wiring order was wrong for the injectors, runs very sweet now.
