hi guys mick (newbie) here, can any one help, to change front disc and pads on my o4 transit 2.0 turbo. do i need any special tools, what size is the hub nut and what is the torque setting on the nut. many thanks mick. :roll:ps is my transit a mk6 or 7

Don't know about the nuts however an 04 plate will be a MK6

Hub nut torque is 200Nm, (I believe nut is a 36mm)

is this the halfshaft retaining nut :?: if it is the torque is 400Nm

If its a RWD YOU DON"T NEED TO REMOVE THE DUMMY/HALF SHAFT to change the disks just undo the 5 TX 50 bolts thru the disk and hub you will need a long torx socket or a long torx bar and a bit of pipe for leverage and off comes the whole hub unit

It's front wheel drive.

its the front wheel drive, drive shaft nut, the one in the middle of the disc.

:shock: :shock: :shock: That's what I meant, 400Nm, can't believe I typed 200....Have to be carefull, you can really make yourself look like a tw*t sometimes :roll:
