Clutch pedal ratchet (AGAIN!)

Postby Smooth Hound » Thu Jul 12, 2007 7:56 pm

pictishpunkgirl here on smooth hound's log in. Changed the clutch pedal ratchet a few weeks ago & it's gone f***ed & come apart. Is there ANY way we could change it to a manually adjusting mechanism? It's a 94 2.5 di so probably too early but I HATE that bloody plastic sh*t.

You sure its not something else thats making the ratchet slip. if the clips missing off the cable at pedal box end that can cause it or if the clutch is badly worn etc ?

You can change it to be a manually adjusting pedal but you need to get the manual bits from a scrap van. You cannot buy the lot from a dealers (So I have been told) but try them anyway.

You can get all the bits from the dealer, there is a kit.

That's the answer then. Any Idea on the cost of it?
