all depends! if i boot it i get about 180 miles to the tank if i take my time i can get 550miles out of a tank also with me it depends on where i get the fuel from tesco's seems to burn really quickly whereas shell seems to last forever and not as much black smoke
p.s our mk6 350 camper does about 800 miles to the tank i think because its been chipped it affects it quite a bit
Only had the Torneo (petrol) for a few weeks and she has only just been serviced, but the fuel consumption so far has varied from just over 15 mpg (gulp) to 37 mpg (75-80 mph on a 200 mile motorway round trip). My old 1989 LHD Norwegian diesel minibus averaged 33 mpg over the 25,000 miles we used her, but struggled to get much over 75mph ever.
i have a h reg mk3 swb semi hitop diesel minibus that does 30-35 mpg i dont think thats to bad, am after a smiley i think they are a bit better on fuel.
s.w.b. flat top smiley di 1998 average 36 mpg seems to be best on bp boidiesel- thats a mix of m/way and a roads dont do much stop start town work my old g reg swb returned nearer 40
It's an engineer/sailor thing, boats and steam engines are alway SHE, and nobody calls them nob. Transits are no different. Sometimes they will be a bitch, sometimes your best friend. Whichever she is today, wait a bit, you will get the other one sooner or later.
