pre 2004 isnt OBD2

cant remember where the port is on a MK6 anyway :oops:
2005 Ford F250 Super Duty
1992 MK3 ambulance
1980 A Series crew cab
1984 A series RB44

It's mounted under the steering collum.

It's not really either. My 2005 Mk6 is ment to be OBDII compliant yet non of the OBDII software that Rover tried would read it.

What are you trying to do? Get a cheap tool for reading codes?

The Transit is definately a strange one, it seems cheap equipment just wont read em :? Yet I have sorted a KA and a Focus this weekend using the same software :?

I am looking for kit that can remap the ECU aim at improve the initial REV torque and fuel economy. I know it is a dangerous task anyway.

I found some kit like KWP2000+ on ebay claim it can remap the ECU. Any body have tried?

The only 'Ford' it will read is actually a VW :lol: (Galaxy 1.9tdi)

for this stuff you're best getting a proffesional remap - don't buy hit and miss stuff off e-bay or it will almost certainly end in tears

Hi anyone know what type of reader I need for a 2001 2.4 transit mwb. i have a problem with the immobiliser I think. Will a reader show up a fault with this.
