MY TOURNEO CAMPER CONVERSION

Postby trigger » Sun Sep 28, 2008 7:42 pm

I have owned this for about 6 weeks now but not had the chance to take any pics until today, it's not finished by a long chalk but thought you guys might like to see how it's coming on.

It's because there isn't room for the air intake due to the van having an aircon condenser in the way.

Thanks for the comments guys, i haven't taken it anywhere yet as i have only had it about 5 weeks the first 2 sitting up with a blown turbo, i think the grille on the wing is standard on the turbo models, there is an induction pipe connected to it, it was originally Black but i sprayed it Silver to blend in with the rest of the bodywork, future plans are clear indicators and repeaters, spots on front, mesh grille, possibly 2nd battery, double passenger seat and much more, i'm hoping to get it out to some meetings so i can get to know other transit addicts. :D

Nice

The vent in the wing was only fitted to TD's with Air con and the rare TCI turbo intercooled

It's a lovely seat but i need the pattern in the material to match mine and that's different, i really need to find someone breaking a Tourneo around the same age as mine, i could do a deal on my nice single passenger captain seat.

Also not too sure what to do about the bodyside trim, the bit on the sliding door is missing, do i find another piece or would it look better with the rest of it removed?
