Uncomfortable Mk7 passenger seats...

Postby garmcqui » Sat Nov 29, 2008 10:50 am

i had the pleasure (not) of being a passenger in my own van ('08 2.4 115ps) yesterday and bloody hell those seats are uncomfortable! The backrest is just too straight up, was only a 20 mile run but I was in pain by the end of it! I now understand why the lads at work complain about it.

Are yours the same? Is there any way to adjust them? The bulkhead looks quite close behind the seats.

The Pasenger seats are Bloody uncomfortable i can confirm. We do a lot of double manning jobs round the country and its always a fight as to who's driving because of the passenger seat

wonder if they could be removed and the backrest "bent" back, even slightly?

Try driving from Inverness to Carlisle with 2 large passengers - even as the driver I was glad to get out of there!

That's why I weighed up how often I really needed to carry the third person. Then I specced the 8 way seats for both sides on my MK7. :)

I did exactly the same with my mk7, Kador Velor seats for me thanks with single passenger seat too. lovely, drive for miles now & not a peep out the passenger :D
Transit Custom Limited H1 L2 DCIV, now converted to van by removing the seats etc so now twin side loading doors, fully kitted out with Sortimo racking, always loaded to capacity & averages 35mpg :D
