Put in a Manual boost control, they're about £30. You'll need a good accurate boost guage as well though :!:
You can shorten the wastegate actuator rod a couple of mil, but it's not really recomended to move it from stock.
Don't do any adjustments without a boost guage fitted first
Only adjust by small increments and don't go mad I've heard of crazy boosts but wouldn't go much above 1 bar. Think the 100ps is about .8 standard

so in theory i up the boost then re-increase the max fueling screw to produce the same small amount of black smoke on heavy throttle just like i did when i first converted from epic to 146 bosch.

where is the best or easiest place to connect up a take off for the boost guage :?:

thanks russ

That's it mate, but you can't mad with the standard 146 as the further you turn it up the more you compress the injection duration.

Take off is best from the manifold. Have you got a brass threaded plug in the middle, where a flamestart glow plug could be fitted ?

on my conversion 10mm put the boost up about 0.2 bar

I ran at 1 bar no probs, turned the max fuel up 2 turns and then backed off the mid range to stop smoking

 What's wrong with using your original MAP* port for the gauge, especially as it will no longer be using the MAP sensor :?:

I unscrewed it Andy when I was looking for a take off for the LDA on the pump and it seemed to be sucking, you know like a venturi effect as the boost rushed past the hole. The flameplug hole seemed to be pressurised. Thinking about it now it doesn't make sense, so worth checking it before you drill the brass plug :-)

Well my boost gauge works on that line, but above the blue plastic restriction valve (I think that's there because it helps to stabilise the reading of the pressure) :D

After turning the fuel right up on this existing pump & the advancing of the timing i have found it is 10 percent better on fuel. Look foward to fitting the 146 pump next Saturday :)

Now it's got some go in it. It starts & sounds better, pulls quite well now.

Had chance to locktight the loose dipstick tube in while the pump was off.

Look foward to putting 100ps (blue spot) injectors in, Has anyone got any new ones spare?

Thanks again for all the help, Jim :D :D :D :D :D

T'is that one off E Bay that Andy G pointed out. I was a bit concerned when it came without any covers on also it took ages to get fuel through. Been out in the truck again this afternoon & it's far better. It delivers power a lot smoother & goes up hill a lot better. Just got to see what the mpg is now.
