If you search you will find out that the only wheels that go straight on a transit are transit wheels

The MK5 Transit with 14 inch wheels will take the Mondeo 5 spoke 14 inch alloys wihout any problem at all. I used to have a MK5 converted to a motorhome and it came from Ford with the Mondeo wheels fitted as standard.

the transit has 5 stud pattern and mondeo has only 4 stud unless its a v6, theyre 5 stud but smaller pcd and they dont fit, so cant see how you had mondeo wheels on your transit without usin adaptor plates

I don't wish to argue with you guys, but my Transit came with 5 spoke alloy wheels and they sure looked the same as Mondeo wheels (mine were 14 inch) and Mondeo locking wheel nuts fitted. They had no rim problems over 80,000 miles.

I had trouble buying the locking nuts from my local Ford dealer because they were adament that Ford NEVER fitted alloy wheels to a MK5 Transit and they must have been a later fitment. It was only when we got to the last page of the parts list that their PC showed a Transit fitted with 5 spoke alloy wheels and the same list quoted that Mondeo locking nuts fitted. Is it possible that these wheels are made in both 14 inch and 15 inch?

Are these them :?:

These are 15" Alloys :D (picture courtesy nige  )

And these are the 14" alloys :D

There wasn't and has never been any other alloy wheel available for the MK5 Transit from the factory :!:

Alloy wheel nuts are pretty much universal, as long as the stud is the same  (and most were)

Andyg

The lower picture shows the wheels fitted by Ford to my MK5 Transit and I was told at the time of purchace that these were the same as Mondeo wheels (they were 14 inch). I have seen on screen in the parts catalogue of a Ford dealer (Atlantic Ford in Hazel Grove) these wheels fitted to a MK5 Transit.

Wheel nuts come in two main types, those with narrow shoulders and those with broad shoulders. The Transit wheels need those with broad shoulders to avoid the possibility of cracking the alloy. The Mondeo wheel nuts are of the broad variety.

To answer the OP, you can safely fit the 14 inch 5 spoke wheels shown by Andyg in the lower picture.
