Could it be possible that my connect (55 plate) does not have an obd socket? I've checked bloody everywhere, pulled trim panel off under the steering wheel, no sign of the thing.

Any ideas?

Hi,

In the centre console, directly in line with the blower motor switch, go right to the very bottom of that panel and you will feel it sticking out just slightly, if you get your head up in the gap in front of the gear lever, you will just see the connector poking out.
Or if you had an LPG connect you would be spoilt with 2, the second one is behind the panel that houses the headlight switch (there for LPG diagnostics but carries the same OBD info on it)
