Yes fronts are easy, just use uprated 30mm focus springs. The rear is the problem. The mk6 escort vans have similar set up and you just move the springs under the beam with moddified brackets. But the connects have an anti roll bar with shackles so you can use the escort technique.

But yours is a T230 with anti-roll bars and double leaf springs, so you'll need a heavy duty solution.

Vans are designed for people with imagination. Cars are so limiting ... what can you do with them?

Any after market focus mk 1 lowering springs. You will only need the front. The rear is a hole different ball game.
Spoke to a lad tonight who has lowered 5 connects and has got the conversion nailed. He won,t tell me how he does it or what bits he uses but he,s the only person iv,e heard off that,s doing it.
The cost to you is £600 all in.

Hi, cheers for the info on the springs, i mite get some soon, as for the rear i think the axle can be flipped.

Was thinking about it today and i think i have a safe way of putting the leaf springs underneath the axle and it will safe the hassle of flipping.

You can of course quite easily bend the leaf springs with heat, but this could also weaken them.

Yeah, I think thats the geoff who owns that garage innit? Hes the one whos put the st engines in isnt he??

Yes it,s geoff from CHORLEY STREET GARAGE.He puts FOCUS RS engine in them.I know that you need to cut the spring mounting brackets off the top of the beam and weld them underneath to locate the springs under the beam, but the shocks and anit roll bar shackles modification are a mystery to me.
