mk6- held in with 2 8mm bolts if i remember rightly, remove both round plug to access.

mk7 - remove both top and bottom shroud, the airbag is held in with metal springs at rear (u'll probs need a mirror to see them). to remove push the springs down past there holding clips one at a time ( they can be a little stiff). if u have an old flat blade screw driver bend it into a right angle, works at treat :)

on a mk 6 you can get the clocks out without removing the wheel.

I think I earthed it to the new wheel, not 100% though, try it without it first, you wouldn't to set the air bag off by accident

Lol
Yeah u need to earth it if u fit a cmax steering wheel. As I found out after putting it back together because without the earth horn works without ignition switch on. Turn on ignition... No horn.
Earth the brown wire to steering wheel and then horn works as it should.

Also just to let people know that if u have cruise control then cmax with cruise control works in transit.

Cheers for ur help rumble. To me ur almost worth ur weight in bronze :D
