Mk 7 fuel filter change advice required

Postby RacinRob » Wed Feb 09, 2011 10:29 am

Due to give the van a service this Friday. It's the first time I have serviced the transit - but have spent too long fixing my motors/bikes.
Only point of concern is changing the fuel filter - anything I should look out for?
What's the standard procedure?
Van is a T260-85 fwd.
Cheers

This might not apply to FWD version but I find my MK7 RWD filter very hard to locate just right. You have to give it a good SHOVE upwards once you`ve aligned the markers.
When you pull your old filter down, make a mental note of the notches and where they are.

The filter is still sitting in the box - I will have a look at it tonight.
Good tip though because the previous merc filter screwed on!!!!
