Does anyone have any experience of buying at an auction?
Im after a transit tipper. If I went to auction how much of saving would I make roughly? Against buying from a dealer.
I really like the mk7 .
An 06 or 07 go for around £7,000 ish at dealers . What would I be likely to pay at auction?
Anyone know of a good commercial auction coming up?

The best thing to do is find your local auction company find out what days they have commercial auctions and go to a couple and see what sorta money there making, Don't forget to find out what all the fees are they charge, because they will charge you fee's on top of what ever you win it for.

You should save at least £1000 on a vahicle of that age perhaps as much as £2000

You could also buy a problem vehicle and lose thousands so take care.

Have a look at British Car AuctionsCamberley is where I bought a Focus a few years ago...........very happy.Loads of Ex-leasing vehicles from big companies and full service history with them,normally main dealer.On their web site is all the dates for auctions and sometimes lists vehicles for sale.
