If you blank a working EGR valve, will it show an EML on the dash?.The reason I ask is that I have a Vectra CDTI,and when they are blanked they show the EML warning on the dash. FELIXX.MrMPuk wrote:myfiestast wrote:so i cant just block off the one already fitted?
No because it will still be defective and bring up the fault.

I take it the Mk7 is a common rail diesel with all the usual associated sensors?.What year does the Mk7 run from?,as mine is a 2000,2.4 DI,but registered in October 2001. FELIXX.TIMO wrote:It does on a mk7

Thank's for that,I think I might do that mod.Are there any negatives to blanking on the 2.4 ?,as on my Vauxhall Vectra CDTI,because of the inlet manifold design,I've vented the Crank Case to atmosphere and semi blanked the EGR.This reduces the amount of soot and oil mist,(in the crank case fumes),from combining and "crudding up" the manifold. Is there any thought on crank case ventilation,or the use of catch tanks on the Transits?.Would be interested in finding out.
