Do i blank off the egr valve or replace it? mk7

Postby ransom01 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 10:17 pm

Hi people, im running a mk7 transit mwb low roof 85 t280 , ive started getting a lumpy tick over and the EML on the dashboard which is reading code p1103 ( MAF sensor in range but higher then expected ).Is this due to a fault with the egr valve?, if so do i blank it off or should i replace it?, also what are the advantages/disadvantages of blanking it off?

Many questions, many thanks ;)

Replace the egr yourself, then get a Ford dealer to update the PCM on IDS and this will prevent the new egr from failing
