Postby carpetmonster » Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:41 pm

Alright folks im sorry for not searching on here for this but pushed for time i need to take the viscous fan off to replace the water pump. Im struggling to fing some where local to get a spanner with out buying a set fo £30 upwards, Would a large adjustable fit? im thinking i could pop out and get one if not ill have to buy a full set of spanners.

Cheers for your replies or any help.

i think you just undo the bolts around the fan 10mm about 6 of them take the timing belt cover off and the water pump is to the right,it doesnt have the fan on it its a pulley so no need to take the viscous part off.

just take the 6 bolts out so only the plastic of the fan comes off you can get to the torks bolt then, but the waterpump is in the centre of the timing belt you will be able to see the shape when you get the cover off, there is another couple of torks at the bottom of the crank pulley and that piece comes off on its own.
