theres about 50-60 mm, and, very surprisingly (SP) it doesn't hit them, even when I loaded it with two gearboxes and 3 engines the other week...
fronts however, well, thats a little different

hi there you have quite littraly took all the main ideas i was thinking about and turned them into reality :D .

Just wondering what size tyres did you put on the front as it looks like you are running 205-60-r14 on the back???

When i was looking at profiled r14 tyres on paper everything seemed to small on the rolling dia hance i was going to stick it out and get some 15" rims as getting the same size tyre profile on the 15" rim would bring the rolling dia closer to the original 195 r14c tyres i have fitted but your pics prove that you cant work everything out to perfection on paperwork prior to swinging spanners

:D

hi all, well I have a little update, not much of one tho sorry..

some good news, flew through its MOT :D , also I'm now re-insured but with adrian flux.. (real drama with my old insurance firm)

work wise its mainly been welding, but nothing fun, still got loads of cosmetic welding (including wings and arches) but, I'm progressing, slowly...
been pretty busy with the underside, removing a few bits and pieces ready for the twin exhaust, hoping to get that and the 'posh' sping hangers aorted in the same weekend, but...
I'm struggling to get hold of the rear spring shackle bushes (ones in the chassis)??... anyone help?

oh, and I've now got my rock'n'roll bed 8)

anyhow, a few poor pictures..

really should take more pictures, never remember.. but all this is now fully welded etc (note I'm using the correct colour coded steel? )

tatty engine shot showing an Xmas prezzie from my daughters.. (musical horns)

and a few pics one of my daughters took trying out her new camera..

hello people

again, thankyou all for the cool comments, with not having much time free at the moment it really helps me to keep motivated! :D :D

another tiny update..

pick up the bed, a bargin from evilbay, £30.. its an Ikea futon

Image
its a touch to long (140mm) but as a bonus, kinda?.. it had two slats missing, so

Image
I removed some of the slats and set about reducing the width

Image

Image
I removed 140mm all around then tacked welded it all for a trail fit

Image
back again for some fine tuning.. then I ran out of time..

Image

(the seats you see are temp, the 'rock & roll seat/bed' will replace those)

just need to refit the slats ( which is now a full set) plus make up some longer feet, doddle.. beats £400ish any day,
the matress is going off to a lovely little old lady to be trimmed as we speak..

on a side note, still looking for tourneo interior trim? not seats, just carpets side and door cards plastic trim etc..
also, info on chassis bushes for the spring hangers?

cheers lads 8)

managed an hour again tonight.. nothing amazing, but I'm pretty happy with it

Image

all the slats are in.. legs extended, just need to weld plates to the feet to secure it to the floor (will be changing the flooring before that), fits perfect all round
matress hasn't been picked up yet so a chance to see it all together, as I said, well happy :D

did you just cut the old ones off and re-weld, when its lowered does it put any stress on the prop ?
