Dirty water and "bad egg" smell

Postby Reaper1 » Tue Apr 10, 2012 11:34 pm

Hi, i have a T230 lx connect on an 06 plate and just recently have noticed a smell like dirty water and bad eggs inside the van, the van seems to be driving as normal and there is no sign of water in the footwells and there doesnt appear to be any leaks in the engine bay??. Does anyone have any ideas what these can be??

Could be from the heater, give a quick sniff from the header and if so flush the system then add fresh coolant.

Only time I've had this kind of smell is with washer fluid. Not had it since I switched to the bluecol high concentrate stuff though.

As an Ex-BT engineer I can assure you that many ex-BT Transits may well have strange smells emitting from them... it was a bit of an old trick to pop a dead fish under the bonnett and allow to rot on gas mark 6... then listen to the moaning of the driver and the bollockings from the garage...
Keep a smile on your face at all times! The others think you know something that they don't !!!
