is it possible to put an electric hob into a camper nothing massive just to boil a kettle etc?just wondered as i'm not too comfortable with a gas bottle under the seat inside,it's a mk2 transit camper.

Why don't you get one of thoses stoves with the bottles in side the spray can sized bottles

I use one when we have our south coast meets to do tea and cook lunch for my self and it don't burn plyling :wink:

Asda is where i got mine £12 stove and £10 for 10 cans

If you do a quick search you can usually pick them up dirt cheap - and sometimes they come with 4 free replacement bottles....Try your local boot sale too, usually 1 or 2 traders flogging them off...I have 2, and used to have the heater version too - 4 hours of heat on full blast from 1 aerosol!

They're usually called a table top gas stove, or portable gas stove. But any kind of camping stove would do, you can even get liquid fuel ones than can be ran on diesel/paraffin etc


So long as it's not raining I use a ghillie kettle/kelly kettle for boiling water, doesn't cost anything to run and is fairly quick :)
