Clutch slave cylinder

Hi my transit 280, 2001, 2ltr has brake clutch fluid pumping out from clutch slave cylinder and lost my clutch :oops:.
Is this a big job to fix and what price would the parts cost I think the gear box will need to be removed help for the new boy please. Thanks Lee. :D

yes the gearbox needs to come out and shop around for a clutch kit and bearing, once the mounts have been unbolted you will have to jack the engine forward a little otherwise the box hits the subframe

Hi quick update fitted clutch but can't get gear box/bell house back on problem with hitting cross member. :oops: help do you remove driver side engine mount??.

no get a scissor jack between the back of the engine and subframe and jack the engine forward, then you will find the diff misses the subframe :D

Ok so at last the gear box is in to the the point of fittinng clutch slave hose BUT will not hold hose with spring clip?.I thinks that the slave cylinder could be wrong my old one was just a plastic tube type and replacement has a bleed nipple :oops: with a cast body,could I replace the pipe to master or will I need to remove gearbox and change slave.Help van sat on mum's drive she not happy. :cry: Cheers Nonka. 2.0 td 2001 fwd.

Ok clutch in slave cylinder no2 fitted all in new oil,oil seals ran up road now have a 3rd gear crunch :twisted: should I re- bleed slave cylinder or save up for new box.

Hi clutch/gearbox in for a week 3rd gear is not that bad put in wrong gear oil will remove but had two good weeks in the van thanks forum :D :D .
