Prop shaft.

Hi Oh knowledgeable ones.
I have a Mk 5 LWB, SHR, 190.
I've removed a 6 stud heavy duty axle and springs, and fitted a
5 stud pressed steel axle and springs from a Mk 5 SWB low roof.

The prop shaft seems about 25mm or 1" too short

There is plenty of shaft in the spline but the oil seal won't fit.
Is there a special prop for 5 stud LWB's ie "Laser LWB Low roof"?
or am I missing something?
I could make a spacer, but I'm guessing its not a great idea.

You need the prop that matches the diff you now have from a lwb 5 stud

agreed the 5 stud axle has a different prop to a 6 stud axle

you *might* be able to use the rear section of a SWB prop and bolt it up to the front 2 sections of the LWB one?

I could if I had'nt taken the two I had to the scrap yard. Oh Bollocks !
