If I put something like that on legs, (to miss the steering wheel) I can get a 6 x 2 ft bed to fit :D

That a point, how do you get on it?

It rests on the doors when they are closed but you've got to open the door to get on?!

or get on from the back, but i have less space than normal between drivers seat and the twin passenger seat, i`ll make one of the kids sleep on that one

seen a few race vans that beds folding up to the sides and secured with chains in a sort of fixed bed / hammock set up - then a double bed below and possibly have room for 1 to sleep across the van behind the fron seats

I've got a layout sorted now, that can transport and sleep 6.
Triple bed (almost) at the back with two bunks above at either side,
Then rear seats with barely enough leg room, and a bunk resting on the window sills in the front,
