Fault Codes P1664 & P1564

Postby anthony3107 » Fri Nov 21, 2014 11:27 pm

Hello

I am not sure if this has been raised before. I have a Ford Transit MK6 "52" plate with the 2.0DI engine. It has been running fine until yesterday whereby on my way home doing about 50mph the engine just cut out without warning causing loss of power. I was then unable to re start the van at all. I managed to get a tow and today the RAC put it on their computer and the following codes were present.
P1664 Injection Pump Control Module Faulty
P1564 Injection Pump Control Module Request More Fuel.

Can anyone please help in advising what is actually wrong and what I need to do to get the van running. I am a self employed gardener and sole trader and sole earner of money as wife unemployed.

Thank you.

Tony

Are the common DTC's for a failed EDC on fuel pump :(

You can either send it of the be repaired or fit a new pump.

VP30 pumps will require programming to vehicle :!:

THANK YOU for the responses guys. :)

Are all the VP30 pumps compatible as I see there are about three different part numbers but all the pumps are Identical. I have a T260 SWB FWD 2.0 litre Duratorque Di engine. Does anyone know where I can get a good priced model as I have a very limited amount of money. There is one available to me but it us currently on a 2.4 litre engine. WOuld I be able to use it on my engine? Thank you
