Searching for radiator hose for 97 petrol transit

Postby Brenton » Thu Oct 17, 2019 3:36 am

Hi all, my name is Brenton.

I have just joined in hopes this wonderful community will be able to point me in the right direction! I recently had a radiator hose split open and it was an easy fix. But now the other one has split and I can’t find that hose anywhere. No where around me has it and ford apparently said it’s obsolete. It’s the radiator hose that has another thinner hose attached which goes to the coolant overflow tank.

I’ve been told the part number is 95vb8b273ae.

By the way I’m in Australia.

Thank you for reading this and thanks in advance for any help :D

Thanks!

I actually found these on eBay too. Would it still work for the 2.0 petrol even though it’s for 2.5 diesel?

& yeah.. might ask nicely

*edit* the cheaper one ships to Australia, just gotta make sure it’s the right one as they don’t do refunds

This one lists 2 litrehttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254058726049
and from an old one https://www.nanodatex.com/the-original- ... 45342.html

do they look like your one?
maybe ask them to measure the hose sizes

It seems mine is different. It’s a thick short hose down the bottom & then the long thinner one goes up behind and up to the overflow tank.

https://ibb.co/MR1zWqr This is a photo I took of it. Where the tape and paper towel is, that’s where it has torn.

It’s similar. I emailed that company about that specific part and gave them the vin number but they said it won’t work for mine. They said only use the original part

That part also says it’s for Transit without power steering & mine has power steering. Not sure if that matters too much?
