Recently had my 1988 Mk3 Transit converted from Petrol (2L Pinto) to Diesel (Turbo 2.5DI), however the wiring for the Diesel Sender I swapped to had internally failed in the black connector on top which is full of what appears to be epoxy resin.
This meant that the fuel gauge was randomly falling to empty on the dashboard when driving so I bought another sender on Ebay, and by pure coincidence and rather unluckily its wiring had also failed in the same way.
Currently planning to alter my old Petrol Sender and fit a Diesel Return for now, but if anyone has a fully working Mk3 Diesel Fuel Sender (with no broken wires in epoxy resin...) for sale I'd be very interested!
