Jack and wheel brace

Postby tombrick1968 » Tue Dec 01, 2020 6:56 pm

Hello

Any kind member looking to part with and or sell a Jack and wheel brace combo..my inherited Van mk6 2005 doesn't have one ( Yes I have checked the secret compartment  )
Thought I would ask here first before shopping around..I don't want to tempt fate but I'm stuffed if I get a flattie

Thanks for your help.

I wouldn’t bother with the Ford wheel-brace get a swing bar and socket as for the jack you my be better off with a bottle jack that’s what Ford supply for twin wheelers.

Should be boss of the job good I’ve not tried mine on a front puncture but a do carry two ever sense I got rear puncture on a loaded van and the Ford scissor Jack broke halfway up on the side of the motorway it had never been out of the bag from new probably my fault for not taking it out and oiling it at some point.

Hey up,
Used to do breakdowns and found the ford brace really strong, but i had an ex scaffold piece of pipe approx 3’ and that slotted over the brace for extra cracking power when the wheel nuts have been fitted by air tools.
Have a spare brace if required
Regards
