I'm looking for a power steering box for my MK3 surrently has one fitted but with a lot of play or even if someone can point me in the direction of a company to refurbish my current one cheers

On the side of the box is a locknut with I screw slot in it you can screw that in to take some of the play out but don’t over do it as it can make the box stiff .

You cat take for a fair bit out used to do it a lot on mk 1&2 and trucks you are allowed a fair bit of movement on the steering wheel if you get a fail get them to get the manual out and check the spec a lot of car garages and not used to steering box’s and I’ve had them try to fail them on rack and pinion limits
The steering wheel movement is for a 460 mm wheel is maximum of 92 mm of free movement with the engine running.
