Did they do a MK3 with sliding front doors? I've never seen one if they did or do you mean side loading doors?

There was a complete MK3 sliding drivers door & fittings on Ebay last week.

The catch.the part with the spring loaded catch in it. Part numbers on them are

I can supply used catches for both sides of sliding side loading doors from a year 2000 Mk5 if you can confirm that's what you need?

But the part numbers you've given are for 1996 on hence the 96VB bit at the start of the part number!

ah ok sorry , not too familiar with part numbers. as long as yours have these numbers on them then they should be correct ? or have you a picture of them maybe?

The following pics are with Mk5 on the left and Mk3 on the right of the photo.
It appears that the Mk5 catch is almost identical to the Mk3 catch but apart from an extra metal shroud on the Mk5.
They are certainly interchangeable.
I have both sides of Mk5 version but only left side of Mk3 version
