would anyone have a good set of the plastic arch extensions for a mk5 and door extension piece by any chance?

you'll need a time machine to get those. what's wrong with the arches? if it's rusted screws you can carefully take them apart to put new ones in. you'll need a soldering iron to use as a welder.

i know its a long shot but hoping someone will be breaking a van or might have a set somewhere asking but im missing the drivers side completely and the passenger side is hacked up as i think someone fitted the wrong roller and just cut the arch to let the door back.... or someting either way im stuck for two arch extensions

I'm sure that if I had a spare set I doubt any amount of cash would make that fact public!

When mine get broken I'm going to try to make a set in sheet steel. It would be nice to think a flared arch off a mk1/2 twin wheeler could be welded on but I doubt it would be the right size or shape.

Another option, though pricey, is to use a generic rubber wheel arch extender. Alas the only ones I've found that might be wide enough are in Australia, for examplehttps://www.ebay.com.au/itm/293254119249

il keep searching and hoping I might see if I could source a set of a mk7 and see if they could be made fit otherwise she may just get cut up as there is a good bit of welding needed on her

How much welding?

Twin-wheeled Hicubes are a rare beast and should be saved.

The usual spots wings steps sills arches and what ever shows up once you start poking
Savable with effort and money but Iv learned it’s a lot better to have everything or as much as you can have before starting a project so if I can track down the rare bits like the arches and hinges etc first before spending s lot of time and effort and being held up or stalled by parts

Will this work with an MK6? The dome panel and connections seem to be the same but I want to be sure it will work before purchasing.

I wonder if I could draw them up and 3D print the mk5 arches.... or even make a mould to make fibreglass ones.

I would need a spare arch to measure up to do that though - and there is no way Im taking them off mine!
