Transit mk7 dedicated tow bar loom

Postby loot » Thu Nov 07, 2024 3:25 pm

I have the relay under the passenger step and the wire terminates on the chassis nearby, it looks like a block with maybe 10 pins (2x5) I think the loom plugs into it then feeds down the chassis to the tow socket. I need this please :P

What you towing mucker, I just connected tow bar wiring loom into my rear lights and never had a problem , I use tow board with led lamps which probably helps but have plugged normal non led in and still no problems

I bought a new tow bar, I've got an A frame to tow broken vehicles. I did fit a 7 way bypass relay on other vans, there's actually 1 on the original looms but it was scotch blocks mayhem, I've taken the sparkly new looms from the tourneo to fit so I'd like a dedicated loom to connect to my connector block since the genuine relay is fitted . :P

I bet there's loads in the scrappy somewhere in scrappyville

Hi guys, I've probably got the wrong loom. But it's fitted now, mine has 2 oblong connectors and an earth loop at the very front and a bit further back it has a square connector for the mk7 tow module located in the passenger step area and then it follows right to the back where it has another connector that goes into the tow socket connector. I have loads left at the back which is fine however the front 2 connectors are different to the ones on my chassis leg. So either later mk7 or I have the loom for the chassis cab. I need to do some research on the wiring I may have the diagram and I will bodge the front but if anyone has any advice or has fitted the loom it would be appreciated.
