Buying from ebay

Anyone use the app? Most of the time I buy it and it basically goes straight through and is paid for. But recently someone's it does that but others it opens up my Web browser and wants me to pay with PayPal that way and log in.
I've been cancelling the purchase when this happens. I saw something about an update or a change but I don't know what's going on. Any ideas?

I've noticed that too. The stand out change looks more and more often like rather than paying the seller you pay eBay, then they pay the seller. Possibly another way of breaking the chance of non-eBay communication between the buyer and seller.

Could be, I allowed a payment of this type and haven't been asked since.
