Rare 1989 Mk3 LWB V6 High-Roof / Possible Camper Restoration

A member in the Mk3 section suggested I mention this here because it may interest someone looking for an unusual period camper or conversion project.

My father’s 1989 Transit Mk3 130 LWB is a twin-rear-wheel high-roof van fitted with the 3.0 Essex V6 petrol engine and manual overdrive gearbox. It also has power steering, a limited-slip differential and Explosafe petrol tank.

It has been SORN and stored since 2005 and needs a comprehensive restoration, including substantial bodywork and mechanical recommissioning. It is being sold complete with its accompanying spare parts, genuine Ford invoices and Ford microfiche catalogue.

The eBay auction is here:

https://ebay.io/m/u9KQHY

£1,500 starting bid / £2,500 Buy It Now. Located near Wellingborough.

We would particularly like it to go to someone who will preserve and restore it rather than dismantle it.

The van is up for a heavily discounted price on eBay because we need to shift it before moving house. You’re welcome to take a lookhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/318660934199
