Yes it was worth it, the transport wasn't to bad as i had a 2nd one to pick up about 5 miles away so i could split the cost between the two.

Its just possible that the axle may also be a limited slip diff version...

How would i tell if its LSD?

If its a running, jack the back end so one wheel is off the ground then try and drive it. If its lsd it will try and drive off the jack, if not the wheel off the ground will spin.
If its a non running raise booth wheels and turn one by hand. I think with lsd the opposite site wheel will turn same direction non lsd will be reversed.

Jack both rear wheels up... in gear you won't be able to turn them, out of gear they will rotate in the same direction.

If its open you turn one wheel, the other will rotate in the opposite direction
