I'd say it's a mk7, tailgate wiring is on the drivers side.

The dash loom has the mk6 buttons on it for heated windows if he's fitted the mk7 tailgate then he would have moved the wiring too wouldn't he?

Someone needs to buy it so we can find out

Let's say it's a mk7 why and to what benefit would there be in fitting a Mk6 tddi engine and wouldn't it cause problems at MOT time with the emission test as surely it would be tested to euro4 not euro3

They seem to get passed most testers, my theory is with all the new work and bullshit to the test they forgot to ask the testers if they can be bothered with all that crap for the princely sum of 35 quid, to which the testers would have said, nah man can't be Arsed. anyway.

The mk6 hazard button is right next to the mk7 hazard button which clearly shows that they know foof all about wiring, plus it has the mondeo speedo fitted.

I'm wondering what is needed to run the mk6 engine?

It may well be a mk7 but I'm convinced that there's a mk6 somewhere
