single rear axle as well.. unless the chassis has been strengthened it wont last to long before it starts to bend or break up..looks like there is now 3 mk5 about as well as a mk6 thats a cut up van..bet insurance will be a nightmare as well if it can be insured which is proberbly why we keep seeing the same van/truck up for sale in a short time

sounds like a lot of work when you can just go out and buy a real one, don't look bad thou, I saw a few single wheel ones for sale when looking for mine, even saw a fwd converted one

Thats what i thought but a lot of work. I would have left front of roof on :?: maybee didn't like the look of it

DLVA has listed GVW as 3500kg which is usual for mk5 recovery

It depends on max rear axle weight to what it can carry (Jaguar X-Type is a around 1600kg unladen)

I would have swapped rear axle for a twin wheeler complete with springs. :wink:

The chassis on a 190 van is completely different to a 190 truck
