Banded wheels on a "stanced" car that weighs just under a ton... maybe...
banded wheels on a transit weighing up to 3 ton... not cat in hells chance! Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

It depends entirely on who's done them, if I knew who it was and could see the standard of the welding and if it had decent penetration no problem. I wouldn't buy an unknown set that had been flapwheeled back and finished though.

theres nothing to worry about as ive ran verious banded wheels on my cars, some with better welding than others and ive had no trouble atall, i wouldnt be and infact i havnt been worried about buying unknown maker banded wheels, yes sure if the weldings so bad its dangerous i wouldnt but you can tell if it is or isnt good

at the moment i run some alloy wheels with pcd corrective wheel bolts (wobble bolts) to fit 108pcd wheels on a 110pcd car - people get scared and worried about thos but ive not had 1 single bit of trouble with them
despite the fact theres many people on the net who dont trust them
