I had to refund a guy a few weeks back, said he never received the tyres that I sent him. I checked with Hermes, tracking said delivered parcel to secure reception (business address), and a squiggle for a signature. Customer said that they have no reception, only 2 people working there, so who's word do I take?
Then I tried to claim on Parcel-2-Go parcel insurance, no chance as they say it's been delivered, and I have to prove that it wasn't, if I want to make a claim.
So there I am, I've lost the tyres, and paid for the delivery, can't claim on insurance, and had to refund the buyer on his word
At least I get my fees refunded
The only upside is that I now no longer pay insurance on any of the packages that I send, as it's obviously a waste of money, so I should save the amount that I've lost within a few months
