LED front fog conversion...

Postby Mikee » Sun Aug 18, 2013 10:27 pm

Hi guys/gals,

Has anyone either put LED H11 bulbs in or used a new housing for their front fogs? Saw a Mk7 on the way to work the other day with LED fogs and I thought it looked pretty good.

Cheers, Mike.

I've put LEDs in mine, they make high wattage ones to replace the std bulbs. These bulbs are used in some mopeds, so plenty out there. Top tip though is put a smear of sealer on the new ones as they don't seal very well.

They are not cheap, but anything with less watts are not bright enough to work.

I've got a pair of spare Cree H11 bulbs. They don't work very well on the focus - because the fogs lamps have little covers inside to "direct" the beam

I think they are thesehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-H11-CREE- ... 4844c032b6
