rite guys got a bit more done on the van today.ive got the wings cut and welded in place.ive decided to fiberglass the swage line along the door so it kind of blends in with the shape of the front wings.ive started to cataloy and fiberglass the wings together.the welding was the hardest part as i didnt want the panels distorting.ive still got the bottom of the mk6 wings to weld on to the bottom of the mk4 wings and this is to allow the bumper to line up perfectly with the wings.im also trying to keep the mk6 bonnet catch arangement but it means lowering the radiator.but ive got most of the hard work done. its getting painted either imperial blue or frozen white.anyway heres some more update pics

got some more done today.had the painter in today looking at the shell and ive got a bit more sanding to do.im going to paint the sides of the bed the same as the cab,had bother getting the bumper sitting rite so ended up hitting the front panel with a big hammer so the bumper would sit back a bit mote.ive smoothed the bonnet badge so there isnt a buldge behind the bonnet bra.heres some pics of it as its going threw the stages before getting painted. If he's scrapping it then the conversion didn't go well.
