light lenses

Nearly time to get the van rego'd been having a hell of a time finding tail light lenses, the ones on vy van were badly faded and then painted with red and yellow house paint
I was going to throw them out but decided to try and save them, there not great but they will do for now

I removed the piant (what a job) tried every thing like brake fluid petrol even paint stripper (thats a BIG no no) but found that soaking them it general purpose thinners and blowing them off with compressed air worked

I ended up with kinda clear lenses but i couldnt remove it from the sides of the lenses so I masked them up and painted the boarders in satin black, still need to fill some cracks but you get the idea

tomorrow I'll paint the bulb holders with chrome paint fit some red and orange globes and hey presto bodgey clear lenses
